The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you could decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings.
